Hereford 5.20

ROBIN - Hereford 5.20 Handicap Hurdle - Class 5 - 2 miles 5 and 1/2 furlongs - 14 run - Good
A trappy little race and at the head of the market is Top cloud who was very well backed when hosing up at Stratford last time having joined Robbie Llewellyn. Clearly the market knew something but that's a quirky left handed Track and this is a more galloping right handed track so I'm happy to take it on.
Samatian is likely to make the pace but the trip just concerns me, its had a 264 day break, has won fresh off 184 and David Bass has a metronome in his head so I don't write this one off lightly. I want to TRACK Mactavish who is just trying to find the key to the best trip after some encouraging runs and Churchman who has had 6 runs at 2 miles, makes handicap debut at almost 3 miles and comes from the very canny Alastair Ralph yard. Both will be added to TRACKER after today and hopefully will show promise but not win a race too soon, both have the ability to make us a nice profit this winter.
There are 3 that really catch the eye though!
INSPECTOR LYNLEY is getting the hang of handicapping and looks ready to start delivering now off a mark of 78 for the Mulholland yard. PROFESSOR CALCULUS looks to be at a frankly silly price at 50-50/1. It popped up off this mark (84) on Good ground at Taunton last season and a tongue tie and visor should work in its favour and I'll be very disappointed if this one isn't in the first 4 home. ROBEAM looks to be regressing BUT is only a 7 year old!. It would be very well handicapped on 2021 and 2022 form and I'm prepared to have some e/w shrapnel at the price.
Tips (1) Inspector Lynley / (2s) Professor Calculus / (3s) Robeam
