ROBIN - Hereford 12.50 Handicap Hurdle - Class 5 - 2 miles 3 and 1/2 furlongs - 13 run - Going Good

 

The resurgence of Hereford over the past few years after it was closed by ARC and saved by local enthusiasts remains a genuine "feel good" in a time of crisis in Racing.

 

This race isn't deep on quality and I think 3 stand out.

 

MAN OF THE SEA looks a good safe "win bet" a winner at 2 miles, twice a runner up at 2 miles and 2 furlongs and off a mark of 100 with a 7lbs Claim looks strong.

 

Force de Frap is decent at 2 miles but tired badly on only previous attempt at this trip. Silver Atom is fit from the Flat and a few signs the trip may suit for Archie Watson with partner Brodie Hampson in the saddle. At bigger Odds we'll TRACK Knot on Time after today, it ran well for a fair way recently on return off a 3 year injury break, it had some decent Irish form in 2020 and may still need a few runs.

 

You could argue though that both GREAT OCEAN and PASSIONATE PURSUIT are almost winner without penalty, PASSIONATE PURSUIT was an unlucky last fence faller when running very well in a race last season and PASSIONATE PURSUIT slipped up when in an equally strong position. Both look to have very decent each way chances here.
