Ffos Llas 5.35 CULM COUNSELLOR - A 3 mile Class 5 Handicap Chase and a number of these are not totally proven over 3 miles and might need a bit more rain than is forecast. The Going is Good with Good to Soft patches and being Ffos Llas I think that means good to soft and no excuses for the selection with underfoot conditions.
CULM COUNSELLOR ran eye-catchingly well at Warwick last time after a quiet spell, Chris Down will have looked closely for the right opening and the booking of Bryony Frost who has a natural feel for an horse of this type catches the eye. Gets in off a low weight and a trip of 3 miles to 3 miles 2 furlongs is ideal and having won last 2 races off marks of 76 and 81, a ceiling of 80 may be the limit of its ability, and is now down to a very appealing mark in 70's. A strong chance of a place at least.
