Exeter 1.30

By National Hunt UK (Robin T)

Exeter 1.30 - 2 miles 2 amd 1/2 furlongs - Class 5 - Amateur Jockey Race - 13 run

At the head of the market I'm not sure Soul Icon who stole a race from the front last time at Huntingdon nor Snug As A Bug with an inexperienced pilot up are good value at this tough and demanding track.

I noted Norley wunning well in the race where I tipped Geonice to win just over 2 weeks ago and Good to Soft would seem to be OK but I can't find anything to suggest this jockey has raced under Rules before so that just puts me off enough to watch it again. Family pOt is one for your Trackers, another very inexperienced jockey but Sheila Lewis is a Trainer to follow and this one will need further than this so with a good blow today, could be one we start to look at closely in following few runs.

I think the value pair against the field are ROCK ON TOMMY who is fit, has proven stamina, has a good jockey booking in the context of the race and who Olly Murphy will no doubt be sending to win a small prize. The other one is BELLE JOUR for Chris Gordon, always worth following here with Zac Baker a big asset too and that one will have come on for a recent reappearance run.

There may be a number of non-runners...if more than 10 run I'd suggest a Tip and a Tracker, if the field is more diminished may be a Tip and a shrapnel bet.

TIP - ROCK ON TOMMY / Tracker - Belle Jour.
