Chepstow 4.55

A Class 6 - 6 furlong Sprint - 17 declared

The Going through yesterday was changed from Good to Good to Soft and I expect it to go Good to Soft to Soft today.

The draw on soft can favour higher numbers but really no massive bias and lots of pace down low in terms of the draw.

Pastfact is in cracking form and the one to beat but I want to take it on along with Port Noir for local Trainer the excellent Grace Harris, as neither horse has much leeway from handicapper now in likely conditions especially.

I looked long and hard at old favourite Satchville Flyer and a big run would be no surprise from stall 15 and if it's 20/1 plus at the off then a few quid in running early might be a fun bet.

My 2 Tracker (1/2 point each way) punts though are PEACHY CARNEHAN a Course and Distance winner, drawn 12, OK in the Going and one whose Course form and general well being looks assured. One whose form ties in with that horse is RED BRAVO, unlucky when meeting PC back in June and although off same weights here is one who is at its best on soft Going and has the look of one whose "turn is near".

I expect both to be right in contention and will be disappointed if we don't cover the bet with placed runs at the very least.
