There are a couple at big odds here who may just deliver something out of turn and they include Kepagge who may just be coming down to a competitive mark after a 2 year injury break and although not the horse he was may find a new level. The Height of Fame gets something more like the Going he prefers and is back in trip but a mark over 100 just puts me off today. New Found Fame on the other hand is one I'll add to the TRACKER for Kerry Lee, a horse of some promise who may not be well treated off this early mark but who can surely find a level it can win off.
I prefer SANTOS BLUE for the Skeltons to the returning Nicholls ex French horse off a long gap so will have a WIN bet on SANTOS BLUE.
HAAS BOY had a race at its mercy at Ludlow when falling and then probably came out too soon barely a week later before Christmas, after a break and on better ground he should be capable of winning a race like this.. At bigger Odds both GLADIATEUR ALLEN and MARTINHAL look well handicapped. The former is eased in Grade off a declining mark and has no excuses for an in form team and MARTINHAL gets Blinkers to try to eek out some improvement also off a declining mark for the Pipe yard.
WIN TIP - Santos Blue / Tracker - Haas / Shrapnel - Gladiateur Allen + Martinhal
