Cheltenham 2.40 Handicap Hurdle - Class 2 - 3 miles - 10 run - Heavy
I narrowed this down to three as I think Fortuna Ellissi is better on the Old Course and on better ground and won't be bottomed out here. Ikarak is in form and could be anything but I'm not as convinced about it as a few others. The top three in the market all run with either penalties or Going concerns or both.
The one I have most confidence in is THE NEWEST ONE a Tracker horse who ran as well as it ever has last time on this sort of ground and looks the one to beat again. I think that both COME ON TEDDY and MY BOBBY DAZZLER who are more regularly seen in Chases these days are dropped in here off very nice Hurdle marks and with strong credentials at the trip in mud and it will be a long way up that hill. I also believe neither will be spared and saved as a win won't necessarily impact on Chase marks.
