Aintree 4.05

Aintree 4.05 Topham Chase over 2 miles 5 furlongs, often a good guide for future Nationals and a 29 runner field so in some ways a pin job and definitely going to need one that has luck in running. Past experience of these fences an asset that is massive!. JANNIKA ran well at Cheltenham but not sure there is any price value, nor sure about this trip, would be no surprise though if it won. WOODS WELL is the sort you can't discount in this kind of race and a solid each way punt. DOITFORTHEVILLAGE could have a nice each way squeak at the prices and is a horse I love, but it's strle of running leaves in hostage to fortune in a race of this kind and hopefully will run well and come home safe.

 

I would have been very sweet on SAN BENEDETO but for the rain, a nice win last time and still at a mark it has won off in the past and will be my first pick as I have a hunch he will progress again now. I will have CALL IT MAGIC as my TRICAST PERM horse, ran well in The Beecher here, nice mark an obvious chance dropped in trip and in Mark Enright a very underused and talented rider. My top tip in the race though has to be KILCREA VALE, off a feather weight of 10 stones, ran 4th in this last year; very solid each way value on that basis and one I think has been plotted for this race all season and mark kept artificially low.
