Tramore 5.20

By Irish Racing (Sean aka Placespotter)

SEAN / Placespotter - Tramore 5.20 Handicap Chase - 2 miles 5 1/2 furlongs - 16 run - Going Good

This is a very quirky track that can suit specialists, tight bends and an uphill after the finish line and then downhill into the home straight. It takes some riding.

It may be a measure of the depth of the field that the 3 reserves are all in the top end of the betting and any would be dangers with a run but not confident dangers so we'll focus on the 16 actually declared.

The standout pair are WALKING THE WALK who is in solid form with Blackmore booked and CLUAN DORA who Danny Mullins rides and who has Course and Distance winning form last season off a 6lbs lower mark. I'll play a crafty reverse forecast on that pair as I cant split them for win purposes.

The biggest danger on recent form may be Rule Of June who ran well last time after running well in P2P's, it comes with confidence but there were a couple more that I thought were of greater interest at bigger prices.

They are DOUBLE WINDSOR whose last win was off a mark of 90, it has some good placed course form and has dropped to a mark of 78 with every indication that JJ Slevin might get a good ride round today at nice each way Odds and grab an enhanced place. DUNDEEDY LAD made a promising return last time and should be fitter, it's also on a nice mark of 80 based on previous efforts and it will be disappointing if he's not in the first 5-6 home here.

TRACKER - Double Windsor / Dundeedy Lad (shrapnel e/w) - remember Reversed F/Cast on top of market pair if you wish to play that angle.
