Sean - Curragh Friday 12th June

CURRAGH 5.10 6 Furlong Handicap - 16 run

On form it's hard not to fancy one of the 3 obvious Course specialists in ICE COLD IN ALEX, ARDHOOMEY and VERHOYEN.

I will side today with ARDHOOMEY whose stable has made a good start to the season, Course and Distance winner, off a very appealing mark and the Yard form just gets the nod over the other pair whose Trainers have so far been very quiet.

If you look at a line of Course form through a few at the top end of the market MARY SALOME seems extraordinary value at around 20/1 for Madeleine Tylicki, the Going is the only niggle but it should be well watered and have a very lush covering and a spin just before lockdown in late March amy mean the horse is that little bit more forward than most.

CURRAGH 7.15 Irish Lincoln - 1 mile.

The most interesting one here is actually not yet in the race and it's 2nd reserve PATRICK SARSFIELD. If it runs it could well go off favourite so a small win saver with a run may be best call.

Of those declared, SALTONSTALL and ON A SESSION have enough Course and big Handicap race form to be of interest. I just don't think either are quite well enough handicapped though but well worth tracking on next few runs.

My tip will be the possibly very progressive NJORD from Harrington yard. A horse that could be "anything" not too long at Jessies but a lovely looking horse. Should run a big race and could go on to bigger things.

Of the remainder, I've identified some very interesting and positive Course form for INSIGNIA OF RANK , a Course winner, a winner of the trip, assured stamina over further so should be finishing off the race very strongly, if they go to fast early may benefit the chances. Off a very lenient mark when you look at Course record in isolation.
