It rarely gets very deep here but this will be a stamina test irrespective of how much more rain falls.

 

A small few are guaranteed to get the trip and I have to start with last years winner DROMORE LAD who won that day at 40/1. It's shown precious little since but got clobbered with a 10lbs rise and has run in some very competitive Chases, it's not in great form but neither was it entering the race last year, clearly gets round the Course and has dropped below the mark of 125 it won off last year. The trip in the mud suits and well worth a small investment.

 

Spades Are Trumps are of interest on it's recent win but steps up in trip again and Glorious Galway just missed the "tip list" as you have to take jumping very very much on trust but with a clear round one day it will pop up at very big Odds.

 

I can't leave out either SCREAMING COLOURS who has an excellent record first time out and ticks every other form angle box nor MISTER FOGPATCHES who with the benefit of a run will be spot on fitness wise for this, my only niggle would be if it turned very soft or heavy.

 

I'll have a TIP on Screaming Colours and place that early; I suggest a Tracker on Mister Fogpatches and a shrapnel bet on DROMORE LAD if it's Soft but which I'll raise to a Tracker bet closer to the off IF the Going turns heavy on Dromore Lad and a shrapnel bet on Mister Fogpatches......very drop of rain swings me to DL from MFP.
