Redcar 4.35

Redcar 4.35 - Class 4 - 1 mile - 18 run Soft (possibly turning to Heavy)

I really ended up with 4 here, all proven in soft, and a couple of them proven over further who may have been run off their feet on Good Going, but whose stamina should now come in to play.

Littel Jo has an obvious each way chance but of the final 4 was the one who I felt was in the grip of the handicapper. I expect a bold run though and if any non runners would be a handy reserve for 1/2 point each way and I'll include in a few Tricast Perms and this will now be an enhanced place race too.

BAROSSA RED has moved Yards from Balding to Kubler and has form on soft and at this trip and further. It's hard to see that it won't be competitive. A Yard switch can go either way, freshen a horse up or just unsettle it, the form was decent enough, so may just be the case of an Owner/Trainer niggle - who knows, but no excuses on known form for this one.

MAYFAIR POMPETTE drops in trip, would have been a confusing move to be honest until rains came, but likely to be one who will stay on relentlessly in the closing stages has form on soft Going and will be disappointing if not right in the mix.

At longer Odds the seemingly out of form and regressive MIKMAK (a horse we tipped a few times in mid summer), runs off bottom weight and has a telling bit of form from just over a year ago, winning off a mark of 82 at Haydock in heavy Going. The 9lbs lower mark today and the likely soft/heavy Going probably gives the horse it's best chance since, and if there is any ability or enthusiasm left, a sporting each way bet.

TIPS - BAROSSA RED + MAYFAIR POMPETTE / Tracker - MIKMAK
