Punchestown 1.25

 

This is not a handicap race so some run off pretty unfavourable marks based on their known form and although there may well be something lurking off a hidden mark, I can't frankly find it, and have looked long and hard at a few of those types, especially from the bigger operations.

 

If we look at the top end of the market I'm not convinced the top 3 are particularly great value, Arcadian Sunrise has had a Flat run but seems more of a 2 mile horse to me, Dime A Dozen is a very solid performer but makes Course debut and I think probably ideally slightly better Going and Fully Charged possibly needs further coming from a P2P background and best Rules run over 2 miles and 6 furlongs, of those 3 he's the one I fear most.

 

I'll nail my colours though at an each way price to GOLD SPEED, a Course and Distance winner recently, the 5lbs rise may be mitigated by the fitness gleaned and a solid performer who really should be looking at an enhanced place at the very least.
