Joseph O'Brien runs a pair of in form and improving types here who will be major threats in Entropy who has form figures of 2-1-1 and has gone from a mark of 76 to 92 and World Famous who is lightly raced and upped in trip, both come in to the progressive "could be anything" category and will be real dangers.

 

Their presence stretches the price of Johnny Murtaghs FLYING DOLPHIN to a very generous looking 3/1 and this horse who has form figures of 2-3-1 over here ran a stormer at Royal Ascot last time finishing 5th in a big field and provided it hasn't been bottom out by that performance holds strong claims here.

 

Atavatique has also been in good form winning its last 2 races and going from a mark of 68, to 77 and now to 86 in the process, I've had a good look at its wins and think its opposable off this inflated mark. I'm not sure that Star Harbour will be suited by a step up in trip on this tough Course and I would have been VERY keen on a small investment in JUNGLE GOLD for Jessie H who has a good Course profile and who could be coming to the boil apart from the fact that a very inexperienced 10lbs Clamer rides it tonight. I have a feeling it'll be aimed at something down the line and suggest you TRACK it and follow it closely and a bit of shrapnel if you wish.

 

Casanova runs off top weight following a pair of excellent runs at a mile at The curragh in big races but the step up to 10 furlongs looks a bit of an afterthought and one to watch tonight I think.

 

At bigger odds I'm quietly confident that both IDES OF AUGUST and MOSALA can return to form. IDES OF AUGUST ran 5th of 13 over Course and Distance last season in a decent race off a mark of 95 and usually needs a few runs to get fully tuned in, a mark of 92 and the booking of Mark Enright caught my eye. I'm probably more confident in  the chances of last years winner of this race MOSALA who won off a mark of 86 and has then been in the grip somewhat of the handicapper. It's dropped below the 90 mark and should now be at peak sharpness off a mark of 88.
