SEAN - Gowran Park 2.52 - Handicap Hurdle - 2 miles 4 furlongs - 20 run - Good to Yielding

 

The top of the market here looks about right but neither Wa Wa nor Natural Look inspire confidence at the prices and neither do Birdsandthebees (upped 4 furlongs) and Western Dreaming (up 5lbs and not happy in softer Going).

 

Falcon Park ran well enough on Thursday to have a squeak if getting a run but the rest bar a couple inspired ZERO confidence.

 

The two that did are both very quirky types BUT on a Going day can win or place at big Odds.

 

Nothing ventured, nothing gained and I'm more confident about these than any others.

 

KILASHEE has refused to race and unseated at the first on it's last 2 runs so comes with a "health warning". Look deeper though and the runner up Course and Distance effort last November looks very eye catching and it's prominent run style may have most of these well out of their comfort zone very early in the race. It's all about (a) getting in to the race and a nice rhythm and (b) getting the fractions right and at silly Odds I'm happy to take that chance. We just need one to drop right and the winners will flow, experience shows that.

 

GIBBET HILL is another with glimpses of potential when getting a prominent position and I think this one can place at the very least and again at nice each way Odds.
