Wexford 7.25 Handicap Chase - 3 miles 1 furlong - 12 run - Good to Yielding - (drizzle)
They go right handed here now which still takes a bit of getting used to, the Course remains sharp in nature but can offer a better spectacle than the old configuration that changed from left to right handed within the last decade.
The clear pace angle is Rudy Catrail who normally sets off, gets pulled in late on and at the top of the market the likes of Room To Roam and Tennessee Titan may try to go with that pace and suffer for it later on. I will cover those three off with a small T/Cast Perm though. Ocean Legacy just gets 3 miles and has some course form and would be a decent e/w poke if staying but the handicap mark seems on the high side to me.
I really do like a couple at bigger odds here for a pair of each way shrapnel bets. RULE OF JUNE had some misfortune on its penultimate run when the saddle slipped and then Unseated over a shorter trip last time out. It gets this trip though and provided the ground doesn't deteriorate too much would have an excellent each way chance. CHELSEAS FRIEND is a bit more speculative but has some proven stamina at the trip and has as good a chance as anything else in the field of nicking a place with that proven stamina.

Down Royal 7.05 - Handicap Hurdle - 18 run - 3 miles - Good (drizzle)
This is a deceptively good Course in my opinion and both under used and underrated. Its a real test of a horse and jumping.
At the top of the market are Walking The Walk and Winnie Woodnutt both around the 4/1 mark. I can't split them for win purposes yet don't see any e/w value and neither are bomb proof by any means on the Course which tests stamina and a bold horse. I will have a small reverse F/Cast to cover them off.
Whatsyourstatus, Fox Fearless and Jukebox Jive are all in the TRACKER, all would have sporting e/w chances to enhanced places at best, I don't think any of them are particularly suited though to the track here and I fancied a few a little bit more.
KINGSTON KID jumps off the page at me and is a confident punt. It has the best stamina form profile in the race, is a solid and dependable horse more often than not and looks cracking e/w value and deserves a win. BATTLE OF BENURB has a Hurdle win at the trip, out of form recently but down to a very nice mark as a result and one who could go very close if perking up.
At bigger odds are a couple with some eye-catching form who might just figure here. FREE PARKING has one very interesting bit of P2P form when runner up to a nice one but leading home a recruit of Tom Lacey who has won in the UK off a mark of 86 and another now with David Pipe now rated 103. This is the first time this one has gone over 3 miles under Rules and if it runs to the level of that P2P run and the collateral UK form stacks up, it could be one under the radar off a mark of 93 with a 7lbs claimer.
The other one for a £1 e/w saver is RAJIN CAJUN. It's stand out run is a win over Course and Distance off a 600 + day break in the past, off a similar break it was unsighted on a recent return run, but with some cobwebs blown away and returning back here it's the sort that you don't want to completely ignore at a big price.
