SEAN - Downpatrick 4.10 Handicap Hurdle - 2 miles 5 and 1/2 furlongs - 14 run - Yielding to Soft

 

Mr Social and Morricone head the market on recent Irish form although Morricone disappointed at Bangor On Dee just 2 days ago. Signora De milano will be backed as it's a Elliott runner but it makes handicap debut with very few credible form credentials. I don't think we've seen anything like the best of ACROSS THE OCEAN from the Cromwell yard as yet, I fear it more than the Elliott runner so will ADD to TRacker and keep a close eye on it.

 

In terms of pure form then the veteran CLANKYLE would have an excellent chance here. It mixes Chases and Hurdles and actually went off a well backed favourite in a Course and Distance race in the summer and I have more than a hunch that this race may be a target so get on early!.

 

At bigger prices both WEE JERRY who runs prominently at 2 miles right up to 3 miles before fading late on strikes me as a horse who can nick a race like this off the front with a soft lead one day if they just get the fractions right and is very dangerous for that reason at nice odds and MILITARY HILL was once rated 120, now down to a mark of 80 and will find a level and pop in to a place at a very nice price one day and aside from the top pair this isn't a really deep race.
