There are a pair in here who look ideally suited to the conditions of the race and the Going and Course and also the fact they have proven stamina off appealing handicap marks.

 

Both have decent pilots in the saddle and that can go a long way in this type of race. 

 

BLUE SHADOW is a Distance winner on the AW. Has run with merit on turf so nothing to excuse a bad run on that score and they turn to cheek pieces just to freshen the horse up and to help it focus. It's AW win came off a mark of 73, it's Turf form suggests that a mark of 77 is within range and I expect to be right in contention for enhanced places at least with this one.

 

The one I most like is on who will be better known to UK punters and that's SHAMAD. A 4 time winner in 2019 off marks of 63 and 68 in Ireland and 72 and 75 over in the UK. That sequence showed the ability the horse has and it's finally back within that kind of range in terms of a Flat handicap mark. Plenty of solid form to suggest it can be very competitive here with the Course and Distance form a plus and off a mark of 72 will be disappointing if he's not bang in contention.
