Clonmel 4.10

SEAN - Clonmel 4.10 - Handicap Hurdle - 3 miles - 16 run - Good to Yielding

I don't think there is massive depth here and a lot aren't  proven at the trip.

Rule Of June looks solid but not great win value and Dicebox was "all out" last time to win and gets a 6lbs penalty. The first reserve DANGAN DES CHAMPS should now get a run and arrives with a nice win and just a 2lbs penalty and is the one they all have to beat on that basis.

Presenting Point had 2 wins and 3 runner up efforts over Jumps last season, may still just need this but absolutely a horse to track once fully fit and back over fences. Cat Iron comes from an in form yard but after a year off and no proven form at the trip I'm happy to watch it today. Well Polly couldn't maintain progress with a 9lbs penalty last time and I think is probably now in need of some respite from the handicapper. LUCAILEM is VERY dependent on the Going. So I'd suggest if its riding "Good" or better to have a small investment close to race time, if it's got any signs of cut or softer Going, I don't suggest that you play with this horse at all.

Falcon Park has glimmers of form when upped in trip and may run a better race than the price indicates and Cher Why Not, who looked to be a really promising horse in 2019 makes another comeback after an absence.

The other pair I think worth an investment are STEPS MATCH who has a series of solid runs over fences and hurdles, gets the trip, won't mind the ground and still on a competitive mark.  I think it's the most solid e/w punt on the Card. At big Odds and one with a bit of 3 mile P2P form that can be corroborated and who may therefore stay on and finish in the front half of the field at least is BLUE MOTION. This is its handicap debut, upped to a realistic trip and just a hunch it is a proper stayer in the making at silly odds.

TIP - Dangan Des Champs / Tracker - Steps Match / shrapnel - Blue Motion
