Clonmel 2.50

SEAN - Clonmel 2.50 Handicap Hurdle - 2 miles 4 furlongs - 16 run - Heavy
At the head of the betting we have West Breeze and LAKE CHAD. West Breeze mixes Chasing and Hurdling, has good Course form and will be a formidable opponent but I really like LAKE CHAD for win purposes as it ticks all the boxes here. I'll have a crafty reverse forecast too and we'll look for some sporting each way value at bigger prices.
Rolly Bowley Boy ran with real promise last time and if you wanted to extend to a Tricast I'd not put you off but previous Course form can be a real asset here and a few are really overlooked in the market with some pretty compelling claims.
Karens Gift ran on Sunday but would be a danger if reappearing quickly, Early Arrival has shown glimmers of Course form but has changed Yards and probably best watched, Galman ran on here over 2 miles but I'm not entirely convinced yet that a hike up by a half mile in trip is the way to go, Female Approach and Plain Or Battered are in the TRACKER but I really think Female Approach needs better ground and at the moment Plain Or Battered despite early promise is struggling in handicaps. Kadys Dirha at very big odds has only ever had one run of note but it was here over 2 miles when it ran on so not to be totally discounted if you wanted a crafty £1 each way.
The pair I really do have good vibes about at big odds though are LITTLE TOKEN who is in the Tracker and has some really interesting form figures here, a record of 1-2-3 over trips from 2 miles to 2 miles 3 furlongs off marks of 90 - 91 , runs off a mark of 93 and my only niggle is that it may still need the run but I can't ignore that Course form. The other one is CARRIGEEN KONINI who has one eye catching effort here that jumps off the page, again it may just need to run but at the Odds "I'm in" Both would definitely be of interest next time here if they don't fire today but gain fitness!
Why am I so keen on Course form here?. They climb away from the Stands and run uphill for a long way, that requires early stamina and you have to be going well as you go over the top, they then sweep downhill steadily and those not used to it can and do get carried away and haven't enough left turning back in where on the run in they meet the rising ground again. It suits horses who have proven that they can adapt and certain jocks excel here too.
TIP - Lake Chad / Shrapnel - Little Token + Carrigeen Konini
