Warwick 1.45

By Irish Racing (MG)

Warwick 1.45 - Handicap Hurdle - Class 3 - 2 miles 5 furlongs - Going - Good (likely to be softer than that)

A very competitive early season Handicap Hurdle where it's hard to rule too many out. The Going should be softer than advertised, plenty of rain about yesterday and that's an angle to exploit.

Bhutan for JonJo and Jacamar for Milton Harris are likely dangers here, the former may have a little too much weight and despite the excellent Paddy Brennan being up I've stamina worries about Jacamar is a truly run race at this trip. If they dawdle he could be a danger and worth looking at "in running" after 1/2 mile if no pace on.

Regarding Ruth who won on seasonal debut in 2019 and Smiths Cross who may have benefitted from a wind operation based on last run, could be big dangers too and no surprise if either outran their early Odds, whilst Lygon Rock for Henry Daly is one in my tracker who will surely need a run or two.

I'll have 1/2 point each way though on a pair who could both be well handicapped, both of whom have had a run or more and should be fit enough to exploit interesting handicap marks in this very open race.

MISTY BLOOM is the more obvious of the pair, Course and Distance winner, won on seasonal debut in 2019 off 112 and then won again at Wincanton off 117, a mark of 123 here looks decent value and one I think can run a place at least.

At much bigger odds is ONE MORE FLEURIE for Ian Williams whose string just looks like it's running in to form. This one was runner up on seasonal debut in 2019, the trip and Going are fine and it was one who I thought could have been a lot shorter in the market than it is.
