MICHAEL - Thurles 4.35 - Mares Handicap Hurdle - 2 miles 7 furlongs - Yielding / Soft 15 run
A fair few in here to consider including Walk Out who heads the market but about whom I have trip and Going concerns. Goodie Girl was a big improver last time but I am not 100% convinced that wasn't a flash in the pan. Pour The Wine was very impressive on seasonal debut and will be a big danger if replicating that run, Lizrona is a Course winner and a Distance winner who was very quick to go Chasing and has done well at it and who makes a return to Hurdles off a very eye catching mark. It and Pour The Wine just missed tips in this competitive race.
When push came to shove however i could not ignore the claims of NO FUSSING and WHERES BUNNY. NO FUSSING is a Course winner from an in form yard. She steps up in trip but looks for all the world like it'll bring more improvement and I'll be disappointed frankly if she doesn't win this. WHERES BUNNY is suited by the Trip, the Going, has won before in the Autumn and looks very solid each way and a better run last time boosts confidence.
I'll also have a shrapnel bet at a price on LIGHT PARADE, a Course winner at 2 miles, some stamina concerns but overall a nice profile and one I think will be winning races very soon.
