Goodwood 3.35
By Irish Racing (MG)
MICHAEL - Stewards Cup - Goodwood 3.35 - 6 furlongs 28 run - Soft (probably Heavy)
The irrefutable fact here is that in these conditions HIGH numbers usually dominate. The camber of the Track means that unlike places like Ascot and York where a High or Low rail can be an asset, the place to be is usually drawn high up on top of the Camber under the Stands Rail.
In terms of those with soft ground form, it's hard to ignore the likes of Allezdancer and Mums Tipple but unless there is a significant change in the normal draw bias their chances are reduced significantly by their draw. If you wanted a small e/w wager on the basis nothing is set in stone I would not put you off.
I narrowed this down to 6 runners who tick all of the boxes for me, draw, soft ground form and the other key asset of getting 6 furlongs and possibly a little further.
My clear top 3 rated on that basis are BIELSA , CHAIRMANOFTHEBOARD and STERLING KNIGHT. I suggest 1/2 point e/w on those.
My next 3 rated, in order of preference if you want shrapnel bets to significantly enhanced places then they are SPANISH STAR , ALBASHEER and APOLLO ONE..
I strongly suggest that you take early prices and take any non runner rule deductions as the market will soon realise the weather impact I'm sure.
