Catterick 3.30 7 Evergate @ 9/1 - 1/2 point each way tip + 6 Fooland @ 22/1 - 1/4 point each way mention (Lad/Coral/Fred 1-4)

A competitive Class 2 Sprint and the conundrum will be the Going and Draw as they may elect to come Stands side here. There are not too many with confirmed Soft Going form and of those BOWSON FRED and DUKE OF FIRENZE would seem to be both out of form and somewhat "regressive". I would not be in the slightest bit surprised if with won this but on 2018 form it looks unlikely. The one I most like is EVERGATE - it has optimum conditions in terms of Going and Handicap mark, runs well at 5 furlongs but has actually a touch of good form over further and a bit of 6f stamina may come in to play in the conditions and negate the "speedballs". It's best form is on soft in this Going and lots to like.

I toyed with Bowson Fred and Duke Of Firenze for a "mention punt"; I will instead include them in a few random Tricast lines but one I do like at big odds is FOOLAND. Gets in here off a low weight and well in on bits of soft ground form and whilst likely to be aimed again at an AW campaign is fit and well handicapped enough to rum well and IF the usual low draw bias does hold, one to give me a sporting run for my money.
