THE ADVISOR - York 5.20 Handicap - Class 2 - 1 mile 2 and 1/2 furlongs - 17 run - Good to Firm / Good - rain about
It could be significantly changed Going by the start time if the forecast is correct but whatever the weather does it is very hard to get away from ASTRO KING ; HAUNTED DREAM and GAASSEE. I will stake them 1/2 point each way in that order of preference .
I think a tactical T/Cast Perm may pay a nice return for a small unit Stake too.
Of the remainder with some enhanced places its hard to rule out Have Secret but as a 3 year old it may be just about the time the improvement will stop for now, Obelix and Ovideo are both strong e/w contenders but neither would appreciate too much rain; Box to Box and Symbol of Light are others i considered and ruled out only a long look.
There are three at big odds currently who caught the eye, of them I just left out MARIES DIAMOND who is out of form but whose one decent recent run was very much franked by Marabha The Champ last time out and for that reason alone I suggest a £1 e/w punt
I'm keener on the chances though of CERTAIN LAD who has trodden water off inflated Handicap marks all year after some good form but for whom a mark of 101 literally jumps off the page, especially with rain about and also THUNDERING another out of form but with some eye catching form in one race here and with some proven stamina from that 12 furlong run IF the heavens open!
