York 4.15, a marathon trip of 2 miles and 56 yards and not many have proven form at the trip.

 

MAKAWEE looks to have sound each way credentials from the O'Meara yard. Has stepped up to 2 miles and run with credit, just outstayed last time but no sign it was stopping just beaten by better horse on the day. Will likely have been targeted at this by astute Trainer and bigger field may make it a more sensible pace to aim at, be disappointing if not right in contention. EDDYSTONE ROCK won convincingly at the trip last time out and that may open a new chapter in a long and positive career. Has a Course win way back over 10 furlongs so no excuses there. Travels well and unless they go a frantic and suicidal gallop up front, should be able to settle in and travel smoothly up the straight. 

 

It may be worth a few bob on the outsider of the race MY REWARD tends to run from the front, you can "nick races" here and likely to give us a good and fun run for a small investment and hang on to a place. The horse has proven form at trip and Yard in great form.
