I looked at 5 here eventually and narrowly discarded Ulshaw Bridge who is back at 1 mile after disappointing over further and Swiss Knight who was very impressive last time out, gets 5lbs penalty and flown a bit higher by Mick Easterby here. Neither would be surprise winners or placed horses.
However, I think that STAR SHIELD is a super solid each way punt to enhanced places, rarely runs a bad race and one they all have to beat here and a horse that deserves a win.
Of the higher priced horses, POETS DAWN with a high draw is a Course winner over 9 furlongs so will appreciate a fast pace and truly run race, may be able to get in to a tactical position to come home down the Stands rail and if getting luck in running should be staying on. The prominent running style will help and I'm always keen on anything David Allen rides here for Tim Easterby.
SUCELLUS is one we had a punt on last time at Epsom, this more orthodox Track looks better suited, still a horse with untapped potential and another who will need every yard of the trip and definitely one to track with a marker when it steps up to 9 or 10 furlongs.
TIP - STAR SHIELD - Trackers - Poets Dawn and Sucellus
