York 1.55

1.55 York.

I again looked at those with Course form and that threw up 4 horses.

PERSIAN MOON is a Course winner, drawn in Stall 4 for Mark Johnston and ridden by Silvestre De Souza. A typical regularly racing 3 year old who doesn't have an obvious chance on some form but rated a live danger especially with a low draw that could mean it running prominently. The Going has dried to Good to Firm and some times yesterday indicated it riding very fast, this one could take some catching.

Likewise stablemate AQUARIUM drawn in Stall 4, one of these may give the other a nice lead and Joe Fanning rides Aquarium, also a Course winner and another whose form does not dazzle but you know on a going day could go very close here. A nice handicap mark and I just fancy it most of the Johnston pair.

Scarlet Dragon and Anythingtoday are the others with course form, the former now with Alan King could be outpaced early here, could stay on and is of minor interest. ANYTHINGTODAY though from the O'Meara yard ridden by Danny Tudhope could return to some very good early season form here and one I will have a small Tracker punt on as went in to my Tracker after first win of the season as one to track once the big late summer meetings cam along.

My most confident selection though is Tom Dascombes EPAULEMENT, this went in to my notebook in the race at Haydock it recently came 3rd in, a horse who finished 5th in that race also tracked from it was none other than Eddystone Rock who won for me on Wednesday. It looks rock solid form and if EPAULEMENT comes on just a shade for the run I think it is the one they all have to beat here. The draw in 19 is a niggle but Richard Kingscote will look to drop in and then make ground round the final turn and then seek to come "over the top" down the centre of the Course. A nice mark of 102 and it is a confident each way selection.
