THE ADVISOR - Yarmouth 5.10 - Handicap - Class 4 - 12 run - Good to Soft
Some big yards send horses from nearby Newmarket and BALLISTA is the stand out for the Gosdens and if you can get anything over 2/1 a win saver is a very shrewd bet!
Panning For Gold has had a great run going from 52 to 70 in the handicap and is up to 77 and upped in trip now, if the trip improves it further it could win again but the pedigree suggest a crafty run to assess potential for next season whilst getting the mark going southwards a little also in preparation for next season!. Forest Demon had excuses last time and looks solid enough without jumping off the page, Queens Company is a Course and Distance specialist but seems best on summer ground and the mark is going northwards now too, Tuxedo Junction is down in Class but seems currently regressive but does have form in Good to Soft conditions so wasn't lightly discarded. Phantasy Mac is in the TRACKER but has become disappointing despite being in a Yard on the up and they'll hope the drop in trip can eek something out. Absolute Queen runs for the same yard and has had a break after winning off marks of 64 and 70, the Going would be a bit of a niggle for me though today. I'm going to add BOLD RIBB to the tracker but will watch today as I think John Ryan could have some fun with this Irish import in the coming weeks on Turf and also on the AW.
In addition to BALLISTA (win bet), I think Amy Murphy's TARBAAN is cracking each way value here. it stays and the race could be run at a fair lick and to suit its strengths staying on and the mark and Going look optimal to me too off a mark of 74. If there is one who could outrun big odds for a £1 e/w it would be Wintercrack who really nicked a Leices Maiden in these underfoot conditions in April from the front, it beat a now 100 rated Haggas horse that day ad runs off 72 here, I would not discount it running a similar sort of race back in that sort of ground again here and well worth £1 e/w at big Odds in case that happens and it can slip the field.
