Wetherby 1.35

Wetherby 1.35 - Handicap Chase - 2 miles 3 1/2 furlongs - Class 3 - 12 run - Good to Soft (rain)
The favourite is GUY a facile winner of a lesser race on seasonal debut and up 12 lbs and in deeper at a tougher Track. If you want a win saver please take it, I want to take the horse on.
Several are having seasonal debut and of those a pair stand out with excellent records fresh. Thomas Todd will be a big danger on that basis but it's best form seems to be on Good jumping ground and there is enough rain forecast here to just make me think it may be too soft for the horse, a big danger though, as is Well Smitten, comes off a 228 day break and has won off an identical break in the past and also off 117 days, that suggests very careful planning in the past and they'll know how to have the horse A1 for this. it's 4lbs above win mark and if either selection was a non-runner would be reserve and also possibly one for a fun Tricast perm with the selections.
MINELLA FOR ME looks a better option to me than Guy and at a nicer price that we can have an each way tip on. A Course winner, a winner over the distance elsewhere, has the benefit of a nice return run and proven on Going too over 3 mile P2P fields. The other one who could improve for a run is NIVEN who like many in the yard should come on significantly for the first run, may still just need this so one to track onwards if not quited delivering today. Some nice placed Course form in soft adds to the quiet confidence.
TIP - Minella For Me / TRACKER - Niven
