At the top end of the market we have solid contenders in Wynford who won last time and who will again be strong in the market and on the course, Flying Standard looks equally solid, and Dereham will be a danger but drying ground may not be ideal. There are some form lines through a couple of those though that suggest there is plenty of value elsewhere.
Overhaugh Street has a squeak off a mark of 61, Hellenista drops in Class off a reduced mark and could fire at some point, but there were three who most caught my eye.
FLINT HILL looks very good market value and won this corresponding race in 2021 off a mark of 71. It's been indecent form other than last time when it ran inexplicably poorly, but it was at the peak of the sustained period of heat, so deserves another chance.
MARJAAM ran Wynford close at Carlisle last time, probably best on that type of tough stamina sapping Course and the odds based on the line of form between it and Wynford are frankly crazy!. I've long thought there is still scope for SOPHAR SOGOOD and it runs off a very compelling mark and I thin this tough extended 2 miles may be just what it needs now and a strong pace to aim at and at the odds has to be backed.
