Salisbury 3.40

THE ADVISOR - Salisbury 3.40 - Handicap - Class 6 - 1 mile - 12 run - Good to Firm

This is not a dissimilar race to the one Andy has looked at up at Beverley in terms of being competitive with a fair number of unexposed 3 year olds to add to the mix.

I fear Sly Madam, Damascus Finish and Atlantic Heart at the top end of the market but you're really at the prices trying to find a winner and the way in as always for us is each way value, I can't split those three but would include a couple of my selections who carry equal win confidence but have some each way price scope for placing.

Ascraeus is interesting with a Course and Distance win but may need a little less fizz in the ground and the handicap mark isn't by any means compelling.

CAPTAIN SEDGEWICK @ 40/1 is a horse SP2A used to own a small share in and it gave us a couple of real highlights winning low grade races over 7 furlongs and a mile. It will love going and after a break of over 2 years and under new Owners it's slowly running into some fitness and getting closer each run. It's one we really have a sentimental attachment to so we'll have a small bet on it purely for that reason. One who could run very well at big odds is SILVERDALE, an interesting 3 year old on a reducing mark and wrth a quid each way.

A pair of 3 year olds at backable e/w prices though I most like are LIFES A BEACH, its shown glimmers for the Hannons, has now been gelded and they add blinkers so they are really giving it every chance and I expect improvement for sure. ADATORIO travels very sweetly into races but so far hasn't found much off the bridge, that can come with maturity and experience and I think it's more than any suggestion the hore is ungenuine. It should travel right into this off the bridle and possibly coast home without being asked too serious a question.
