At the head of the market both Warren Hill and Olymipicus may be hampered by the soft going.
A mark of 80 looks a little high for the dangerous Golden Maverick, Hakuna Babe has a solid form chance but is another who may find underfoot conditions a bit taxing, Gordon Grey is a 3 year old with decent form who drops in trip so has to be feared. Jewel Maker at a big price is 11lbs below its last winning mark and would have a small e/w chance on that basis despite being upped in Class.
The main hopes though are pinned upon DAMASCUS STEEL who has winning form at the trip in Heavy ground and some 12 furlong stamina too off a nice mark and NONSUCH LAD who is on its last winning mark and who has form at this trip in soft ground and the type to plug on relentlessly down the stretch
(1) Damasus Steel / (2) Nonsuch Lad
