Newbury 8.20
By Flat Turf UK (The Advisor)
Newbury 8.20 - Handicap Class 5 - 1 mile 5 and 1/2 furlongs - 16 run - Soft
A competitive race if we assume those in with a chance can handle to Going described as "soft".
The Guvnor at a big price can't be ignored totally with proven soft ground form, Jarlath is one at a big price who looks likely to outrun those odds and can be a danger, Follow Intello would be my reserve in case of a non runner as it has a Course win and could be very competitive if seeing out the trip for Nick Gifford.
My pair against the field are FIRST CHARGE for Ed Walker and for who the strength of Richard Kingscote in these conditions will be a bonus. It's on a winning mark, OK on soft and just has to prove the visual evidence that it has stamina for the trip after finishing races well over slightly shorter.
The other one is FOREVER WILLIAM for Alan KIng who looks ideally suited to the conditions of the race and should be in top 3 or 4 home at last.
TRACKERS - First Charge + Forever William (reserve and possible T/Cast if you wish is Follow Intello)
