The key here will be the sticky ground that might be tacky and whether the place to be is high and coming over to the Stands rail or making a bold bid up the far rail where they will have some fresh ground in the middle sector of the race.

I don't think it'll suit the more 7 furlongs specialists and I don't think it'll particularly suit those better on a straight 1 mile track either.

There are many in with chances and probably just best to say that I looked very long and hard at the likes of Taccarib Bay and Lattam before discarding on value, Dutch Decoy (going concerns), Sonny Liston (going), Johan (ticks every box and can win fresh just missed out so reserve); Al Mubir and Orbaan (marks and going) and Rhoscolyn (best 7f) and of course ole Escobar (always worth a £1 ew saver at 50/1)

My most confidence lies with AWAAL who has outstanding credentials, no excuses and just a case of Stall 12 being not disadvantageous, the same applies to BLUE FOR YOU drawn 11 who is very much in form and suited by conditions and REVICH drawn in Stall 1 and if that isn't a big disadvantage one who I think is a bit under the radar. There are 20 declared and plenty of enhanced places so I'll add shrapnel bets on DUAL IDENTITY, who really jumps off the page with its proven 10 furlong stamina and high draw and if they do go off too quickly and high is the place to be I can see this one staying on better than anything at all. BOPEDRO would be another you can never rule out and as I've flagged up before and our Northern expert, starting to look well handicapped.

Tips (1) Awaal / (2) Blue For You / (3) Revich and shrapnel if you wish (4) Dual Identity (5) Bopedro
