Epsom Derby 4.30

The Derby - C1 G1 - 1 Mile 4 Furlongs - 12 run - Good to Soft
The clear and hot favourite is BOLSHOI BALLET, very impressive last time over shorter, around 6/4 and clearly the one they all have to beat.
Of course it's never been to Epsom, and it's not proven over the actual trip, that's why at 6/4I want to take it on.
Of the remainder I identified 4 as most likely to cause something of an upset.
I think that unless it gets very hot and quickly and bakes the Ground that the rain may have taken the chances of Mohaafeth, I think this one could be a Royal Ascot / Glorious Goodwood horse on better Going and not one discounted lightly with a progressive profile and scope to improve.
That leaves me with HURRICANE LANE who will be my Tip in the race. A horse that has proven itself to be a battler in races, may not have the scope of a few for the longer term but ready for the day and should have no trip problems based on pedigree and visual evidence of most recent win. I don't anticipate this to be a great renewal but one I definitely want on my side here.
Both YOUTH SPIRIT who won the chester Vase to authenticate stamina and on Good to Soft Going and THIRD REALM who showed progressive form to win the Lingfield Trial to also validate his stamina look types who could run a place at nice Odds at the very least and of the pair i narrowly prefer to scope to improve that THIRD REALM still has.
