Chepstow - Monday 21st June 4.30 + 5.00 races
By Flat Turf UK (The Advisor)
CHEPSTOW 4.30 Handicap - Class 6 - 6 Furlongs - 11 run - Going Good - Division 1.
At the head of the market the obvious one to beat is Tawaafoq but at the price I'd be a bit concerned about the handicap mark and Diamond Cottage the next one in the market may just need it a bit firmer than this and any showers would negate chances further.
A pair of Course and Distance winners appear to be on very good marks and reasons to believe both can return to some sort of form today.
ICONIC KNIGHT is top weight but drops in to Class 6 and Tony Carroll will expect to see a return on his investment in the horse who changed stables in the winter. The Course and Distance win came in a Class 4 race just last August off a mark of 70 and now down to a mark of 66 in this weaker Class 6 Grade it surely has a very sporting chance at nice odds.
At even longer odds is CASTLEREA TESS, needed seasonal debut, then missed the break completely last time and never in contention. It should be fit though now after those 2 runs and with a CD win off a mark of 48, and a spell running off marks over 50, it's now down to a basement level of 45 and that may signal a revival for a Yard that often pops in the odd big priced winner of placed horse when they are running off reduced handicap marks.

I don't think this is as strong or as deep a race.
I'll give another chance to SWISSAL who ran on late; last time; after a tardy start and immediately went into my Tracker back here..
A horse than ideally needs another half or full furlong but there is a bit of pace in here from some proven at 5 furlongs and not 6 and provided SWISSAL can break decently and stay on the tails of the leaders that proven stamina can come to the fore on a track where it's important to run right to the finishing line.
