Cheltenham 5.05

THE ADVISOR - Cheltenham 5.05 Handicap Hurdle - Class 3 - 2 miles 4 furlongs - 16 run - Good to Soft

A very competitive race that looks likely to throw up a lot of future winners and strong formlines right the way through to March

At the top of the market the support for Angels Breath may be significant but it has shown little since a 1121 day break and moving from Henderson to Sam Thomas. Lallgag looks a progressive typical Paul Nicholls type but may just need the run to resume progress, Serious Operator is very highly rated by Lucinda Russel , our Northern Expert and our TRACKER system but is another who will surely come on for the run and might find a few a bit more highly tuned fitness wise. Elogio impressed me at Worcester and has been added to the Tracker but this is a significant step up and we'll learn a lot about this one today. The Irish trio of Moneynabane, Arabian King and Building Bridges can't be ignored totally and Stringtoyourbow is very unexposed and probably the hardest of all to leave out. He'd be my reserve in the event of a non runner.

I have a clear top three though after detailed analysis and quiet confidence all will run very well.

ROCKY MAN won fresh last season, up 6lbs for an early win off a mark of 116, it's been gelded in April and any success last year would have been seen as a positive. RAMBO T comes here race fit and progressing nicely and is up 4lbs for a win at Newton Abbot, I'm probably more impressed with his win at Chepstow last year and he also won at Uttoxeter. The best of the Irish will surely be KANSAS CITY STAR for Gordon Elliott, very very telling i think they make handicap debit here and not in Ireland and also go for cheek pieces for the first time.

Tips (1) Rocky Man / (2) Rambo T / (3) Kansas City Star
