A whole host here with chances and very competitive.

I want to take on the in-form pair at the top of the market currently, Manila Scouse may be better at 5 furlongs, get 6 furlongs but I feel this may play better for a horse who gets a bit further rather than better at slightly less. Ruth Carr's horse Twelfth Night has been in good form and progressing up the handicap but I think this may just be a ceiling mark for now and far from optimum conditions.

Illusionist drawn in 6 will be a danger but another who may just fade in the ground late on, Black Friday ticks the trip, mark and Going criteria and that makes it a big danger but I'm just a bit concerned about Stall 4 here. Ramiro ticks all the boxes, draw, Going and mark but they remove the hood and that just left me with a small enough doubt in a competitive heat. One who is a BIG price who just missed a shrapnel bet (if you wanted 4 pokes if 16 remain in) is American Affair, drops down from 7 furlongs, likes soft and only a 3 year old. It's very interesting that Jim Goldie has pitched it in here against some hard-core experienced Sprinters and that may be a small tip in itself.

My main 3 though are the ones who inspire the most confidence with no nagging doubts other than needing luck in running which ALL sprinters need.

FOOLS RUSH IN is drawn 10, has been frankly crying out for softer ground, hence the price, this is optimum conditions including the falling mark and I will be very disappointed if we're not picking up place money at the very least. ABDUCTION has two Course wins at 7 furlongs and one at this trip and looks the most likely to run through the line staying on strongly. A horse who travels very well into races and handles soft and drawn 15 should not be a negative. My shrapnel pick is ABERAMHA GOLD who makes debut for David O'Meara having been with Keith Dalgleish (now sadly retired) and could be one of a host of ex-Dalgleish horses who will find success at their new homes primed off nice handicap marks and having been very well trained.

TIPS (1) Fools Rush In / (2) Abduction / (3) Aberamha Gold (reserve if you wish American Affair - see notes)
