Valueman - Leopardstown 4.30 4 Claregate Street - 1/2 point each way @ 7/1 (SkyBet odds to 5th / generally to 4th place)
Leopardstown 4.30 3 Storm Ranger - each way (your preferred mention stake) @ 14/1 (SkyBet odds to 5th / generally to 4th place)
Tricast Perm options - above two + 8 Circling Moon and 14 No Way Jack
Leopardstown 4.30, a race where all Bookmakers offer odds to 4th place and SkyBet to 5th place. The Going will be heavy; proven ability
at the trip in any ground worse than Yielding an advantage. The draw bias (if any) seems confusing, most seem to favour low to middle but
a few think high has a significant advantage, reading that with logic, indicates not to be drawn specifically to any horse by its draw here.
CLAREGATE STREET ticked every box for me, has won at the trip on yielding; is usually fit and ready to run after this kind of break and based
on best runs, this is a nice reduced mark to start the season with. Trainer and Jockey know the time of day and I am as sure as possible that they
will have the horse fit and ready and identify this as a real opportunity. I looked at the likes of Shamar; Bigger and Better; Misty Milly for a variety
of reasons, but clear second pick was STORM RANGER who has been a runner up on soft and Yielding ground; runs well at stiff tracks and is
fine at the trip, another who usually hits the ground running after a break and looks more of a sporting punt at 14/1 (remember the place odds to 5th).
It looks a Tricast Race opportunity for a few quid, nothing ventured nothing gained and the most likely for me to compete for places with the selectins
here are CIRCLING MOON and NO WAY JACK - so they will be the 2 that join the tip and mention in the Tricast Perm.
