The rails are moved out here to find some decent ground so stamina on the Going and extended distances will

be a vital asset. I was torn between favourite Amberjam and Pennywell in this race but just think PENNYWELL has a bit more

scope and value, it is a P2P winner, has run well in Good and Soft and Heavy and narrowly preferred. (a small win saver on

Amberjam might be wise move). The others are much of a muchness really, the dark horse could be BULFIN ISLAND; clearly

the horse has had training/injury issues, could be anything and Alan King is a wonderfully patient man with his horses and a

Trainer who can never be discounted with this type of horse. However, MINELLA WHISPER did jump off the page when P2P 

form was studied, a 3 mile winner and in the P2P field it beat Good Man Vinnie (now rated 106) and Abbey Street (95) so this

handicap mark of 94, with proven form at trip and in Going from a canny yard and a good Claimer looks appealing at big odds.

Moidore is a solid yardstick, placed for us last time out but looks handicapped to the hilt here on these terms.
