Catterick 2.45

By Shuker Racing

Catterick 2.45 8 Lopito De Vega - 1 point each way @ 12/1

The mile and a half trip on soft Going will catch a few out, the strongly fancied Mr Sundowner and Stecando;
both look solid and should be big dangers, but neither has really proven form in soft Going. Wotabreeze at the top of the handicap

is very well handicapped but looks regressive and the Irish runner (Shamar) obviously handles mud but the form is not quantifiable.

The one who does really stand very close inspection is LOPITO DE VEGA, he has won off marks of 55 - 58 and 64 and handles soft
Going, indeed he seems to run best with cut. He has disappointed so far this year but has winning Autumn form; which I like to see
and easily his best run in 2017 was a 3rd at Doncaster in May over this trip in soft conditions where he stayed on well. They usually
hold him up, not always ideal at Catterick but with Franny Norton booked, you always have the view that he may just try to ride
him closer to the pace. It is not a good race but off a mark of 59 and back in Class 6 on ideal Going and trip, the 12/1 does look
worth an each way punt on a quiet and moderate day.
