07 June 2025

A couple of nice placed runs from Akecheta and Ballycashin yesterday, the win of Robbo was not unexpected (3rd rated) and the fact that Billyb was a non runner, probably the most confident tip, was frustrating.

Carolyn was quite impressed by the run of Revoir in The Oaks in terms of future prospects and sees the Mare being ideally targeted at the best 10 furlong races in the coming months for 3 year old Fillies.

It's The Derby today and she looks at the pedigree and form of around 7 of the field with a view to future success, Going and Stamina assets for today specifically and hopefully some each way value in a 19 runner field (non handicap)

IMPORTANT HEALTH / WEALTH WARNING is the most important message though today. Thunderstorms are forecast to be widespread across MOST venues including Epsom and Worcester where we tip, and some venues we don't tip at, most due to Going concerns. The Fixtures at Hexham and in Ireland, where we do tip, we anticipate being less affected. The problem though is that this is not forecast "continual rain" it's stormy rain, some extreme warnings of a month's rain in an hour, yet 10 miles away it could be minimal. TIPSTERS nightmare. I can report that a deluge forecast initially overnight in Devon simply hasn't materialised YET, but we're forecasted a deluge on some forecasts around 11am and on others just some sharp showers.  The core message is that whilst we can and will provide tips and analysis on what we know and what we assess will be the conditions, it is one of those days when you should be cautious, back race to race IF you can and keep an eye on the weather - especially at Epsom.
