Epsom 2.10 -

A 5 furlong dash down the fastest 5 furlong track in the world and Course and Distance form and race fitness is a big plus. We want to attack these kinds of races more but with far fewer selections / dutching and frankly one stood out here. LIHOU won the race in soft conditions off 5lbs higher mark last year, is AW fit and we feel that mitigates a disappointing profile but back here with that race fitness it'll be disappointing if we aren't attacking place money at least.  (TA)

Southwell 2.53 -

A 3 mile Chase and one stood out in terms of value and scope to resume progress on better ground and with some course form over shorter it will be similarly disappointing if ROGER RAREBIT isn't placed at least here. (RT)

-------

Epsom 3.55-

The Derby Distance of 12 furlongs on Good ground and whilst a significant number of these will need the runs and surely come on for them we again had a clear top 2 rated in the field of 13 runners.

Ones to TRACK may be Duke Of Verona and Hope You Can Run and Western Stars could use race fitness to outrun odds upped in Class.

The favoured pair though are SPLENDENT who is race fit off a nice mark, progressive and who will definitely appreciate the drier ground and SARATOGA GOLD a Course and Distance winner off marks of 80 and 85 , has gone to a new yard but has run fresh before and Course form here is a massive plus. Tipperary 4.45 -

A Handicap Chase over 2 miles 7 and 1/2 furlongs, Soft going and 16 runners so enhanced places. A few may need the run here and at the top of the market there are a few disappointing types and penalised horses who don't look like sequence builders.

We strongly fancy a couple of the runners in the conditions and a third at a bigger price is noted.

MADE IN THE WOODS returned to Chasing from Hurdles last time, where he has a higher mark, and having had a run to transition back to the bigger fences looks well handicapped on previous Chase form and his front running style is suited here. STARLIGHT CATO ran well on the penultimate run and was genuinely unlucky in running last time and with a bit of luck in running should be very competitive here. The one at big odds that warrants a mention and a punt at your discretion is ANOTHER NIGHTMARE who makes chase debut but has some solid Hurdles form including a win and a 3 mile P2P background suggests Chasing may be its game. (MG)

------

Gowran Park 6.15

A 17 runner field in heavy going over an intermediate trip of 9 and 1/2 furlongs. A fair few make seasonal debut and many are unproven at the trip in deeper conditions; but there is a maximum field and 3 reserves so places are enhanced to 5th place.

A Shin Udine, Quantum Light are feared as are Duke Of Leggagh and Givemehoperosa who  finish 3rd and 4th a fortnight ago at Leopardstown, but we strongly fancy a pair who have similar correlating form and another at odds around 25/1.

SIXPACK and RODERICK are both race fit with collateral form lines and look sure to be involved here in suitable conditions and the drop in trip for Sixpack is especially noted. The other one who merits an investment at bigger Odds is JAWHARY who could be ideally berthed in Stall 2 to make a bold run from the front and the drop to this trip looks logical and the horse has some decent UK form in soft conditions. It's a case of making the running and getting the fractions tight up the hill to the finish for this one. (P/S)
