Perth 3.25 - Conditional Jockeys Handicap Chase - Class 4 - 3 miles - 12 run - Good to Soft
Lady In The Park at the top of the market has proven better over Hurdles than Fences so far, Everyday Champagne may just need the run and disappointed a few times before a break and may prefer better summer ground and most of the rest don't create much entusiasm.
SIBERIAN STAR looks to be the most confident one to punt on and depending on the price either a win or each way banker bet is recommended. He's olid over Fences (as well as hurdles) stamina for the trip and indeed further is assured and it'll be disappointing if he's not winning this.
At very decent bigger odds IF there is one that could revive and cause an upset it is MISTER BELLS, whilst he may just now be regressive, he was winning off marks above 100 a little over a year ago and having fallen to an eye-watering mark of 87, if there is ability and enthusiasm remaining, he does look incredibly well handicapped. Bangor On Dee 6.40 - Handicap Chase - Class 3 - 3 miles - 13 run - Soft
At the top of the market are a pair of 7 year olds in Big City Roller and Konfusion, who both carry substantial penalties and are a lot deeper in quality here. I am happy to take both on. Both Frenchy Du Large, also a winner last time out and Erne River (3rd rated if a selection is a non-runner) who is very consistent and usually thereabouts will be big dangers but I just prefer a couple of the others. The other to mention is De tellers Fortune, he gets cheekpieces and is also a real danger but i don't think soft ground does him any favours at all.
Dan Skelton will be looking for every conceivable penny in his chase to the Trainers Titl and SAIL AWAY who was a shade unfortunate last time when unseating could add another near 8 grand to the pot here with a win. GOOD WORK for a yard who have been consistently amongst the winners all season is almost back to his last winning mark and this one rarely runs a bad race and also deserves a win. (RJ)
