Plumpton 2.40, Whynotnowroy is a worthy favourite who will be a tough one to crack but MACARI ridden by Course specialist Marc Goldstein is dropped in Class and after an excellent end to the Flat season, looks more than capable of taking at least a place in this Class 5 contest and on paper an easier assignment than 2 Course and Distance Class 4 races recently. Southwell 2.52, Easter Icon is in great form but a further 2lbs rise and the loss of 3lbs of the riders Claim down from 10lbs to 7lbs may make it vulnerable. Nothielsematters has shown minor promise and Ballydangan has some decent Irish form at this sort of mark and is my clear 2nd rated here, but the each way value may be DANNY'S FRIEND whose best run for David Dennins was at this trip at Worcester, staying on late and although the advertised distance here is 2 miles 4 and 1/2 furlongs, rail movements add over 250 yards to that.
