Uttoxeter 2.40 - Handicap Hurdle - Class 5 - 2 miles 6 furlongs - 16 run (soft!?)
I really can't look past WONDERWEASLE and LETS GO JOE here and at 5/1 generally the field I think both are cracking each way bets as I can't find much in these conditions to oppose them with.
Intersky Sunset was decent in Ireland but gets clobbered with a 10lbs rise by the british handicapper, Best Life is one I'm adding to the TRACKER a reasonal return off a 2 year break this one might still need this and I don't think they'll want to bottom it out if very havey. Another Lord comes off a long break but he is from the Bowens so can't be discounted despite best form being on much better ground.
If 15-16 do stand their ground and the current enhanced places apply then both GAELIC PARK a Warwick winner in March 2023 off 115 who gets in here off a mark of 104 and EMMA HAMILTON who is on a nice mark and has decent form but who runs left handed for only the second time, might be the most likely to run decent places. Uttoxeter 3.15 Handicap Hurdle - Class 5 - 2 miles 4 furlongs - 12 run - Soft
At the top of the market the likes of Henrysbrotherjack, from the prolific O Murphy yard who steps up in trip, Palawan Du Mazet, who has scraps of form, and Take A Hike a moderate 3 mile P2P who at least has stamina, don't particularly excite me. I will TRACK forwards WEST PARK BOY off a long break last time and may still need this run.
I am quietly very confident though in a 3 mile ex P2P horse KAYF HOPE upped from a few runs at an inadequate 2 miles, this trip should better suit in a handicap and one bit of P2P form when beaten just 2 lengths by Hashtag Boum a recent winner off 115, suggests that an opening mark here of 86 may be very lenient. Try to get on asap!
PARISH STAR is a plodder who has stayed on just outside places in a couple of big field races and a repeat of this should at least get in the first 4 home here. (RT)
