An interesting Handicap Hurdle where there are a few dark horses whose P2P backgrounds they may enjoy stepping up to this more realistic trip.

 

POTTLERATH may be very much the one to beat and if you want a win saver feel free but it's only a suggestion not an tip as with The Advisor at Epsom!

 

Wetandwindy is in form but off a rising mark, Get Prepared has won over shorter but then unseated upped to this kind of trip, Dans Chosen is VERY interesting for the Hoobs team as it has got a 3mile P2P background, it hated it heavy at Exeter, the handicapper has given the horse 5lbs back and if it likes this Going better could run a big race but in terms of value of what's been shown so far, I think there are better options. 

 

Ballymilan may need the run but can win races like this so definitely add to your Trackers, and that leaves me with 4 that I'm most interested in.

 

Kayley Woolacott runs NICKELSONTHEDIME (who is in our Tracker and one we've specifically indicated when stepping up in trip); as is stablemate CASPERS COURT and we can't frankly split them here so I will have an investment in both as they are surely now at optimum chance if they are going to deliver this season.

 

I'm also keen on DRENAGH on handicap debut for Alastair Ralph, another with 3 mile P2P form, he's been given his mandatory runs to get a handicap mark over far shorter trips and therefore should be seriously competitive for the first time. I found it very hard to choose between him and top weight BLACK BUBLE though, this one has some serious back form winning a Class 3 at Ascot a few years ago and that rather blew his handicap mark and he struggled to win again. Chasing hasn't really clicked but he ran with some promise back over hurdles last time and he could be on a very nice mark, its just the 12 stones plus that puts me off. If I had to chose I would just go for DRENAGH but if any of the selections dont run then I'd definitely be investing in Black Buble.
