Fakenham 4.10

ROBIN - Norfolk National - Fakenham 4.15 - Handicap Chase - Class 3 - 3 miles 5 furlongs - 10 run - Good / Good to Firm

This is something of a specialist Track being tight in nature.

The 2021 winner GAME LINE from the Bowen yard that tries to farm these summer long distance Chases and who can be very good at it runs off the same mark as last year and amongst those at the top end of the market is preferred to both Debden Bank and Abaya Du Mathan, who have niggling stamina concerns and less Course experience and also Tommie Beau who is a danger but probably not well-priced in the context of the each way market.

I WILL have a small win saver on GAME LINE and was really most interested each way betting wise on Potters Legend, SUPREME ESCAPE and GOODNIGHT CHARLIE. All three look a bit over-priced to me and therefore of interest.

Of them I think Potters Legend who has some good Course form that reads 1-F-1-2-2 has most questions in terms of stamina and for that reason it just misses out on an investment.

SUPREME ESCAPE has added stamina having won over further off marks of 116 and 120, I like the way it travels in races, quietly and efficiently but not hitting too many flat spots and off a mark of 121 for Evan Williams and Adam Wedge I think has a great chance of placing at the very least. GOODNIGHT CHARLIE is also a Course specialist and at the veteran stage, its Course wins have been in Class 5 but at the price and with its running style here, it looks over-priced and worth a nibble.
