Exeter 6.35

ROBIN - Exeter 6.35 Handicap Hurdle - Class 5 - 2 miles 7 furlongs - 18 run - Good (possibly some afternoon showers).

We've got PUDDLESINTHEPARK and JUSTSHORTOFABUBBLE in the Tracker and I think both are worth an investment here. PUDDLESINTHEPARK won well on penultimate run and was inconvenienced by softer Going last time but should resume what was beginning to look like a progressive run of form. JUSTSHORTOFABUBBLE has been a bit frustrating but all best runs have been over extended trips and the Yard will probably see this as a good chance of picking up some place money off a very low weight.

The likes of Bellamys Grey, Whenitrainsitpours and the uber consistent Karokorum are all real dangers here but i think it's impossible to leave FARCEUR DE MAULNE out of calculations, a horse that is infinitely better on Good ground and capable of capitalising on it.

There are a couple of others at big odds that may be of interest to those who like a more speculative smaller stake punt. Both EUROWORK and COACHMAN have so far failed to deliver anything tangible under Rules and to the normal observer would look like out of form also-rans.  However, if you delve in to P2P form at 3 miles both have some compelling form. 10 EUROWORK @ 33/1  won a 3 mile P2P beating horses who have gone on to win Handicaps at this sort of trip off marks of 105 and 115 for Paul Nolan and Lucina Russell respectively. It runs off a mark of 85 here!. 12 COACHMAN @ 22/1 also has a 3 mile P2P win and that race has thrown out a number of winners under Rules in UK and Ireland that have won off marks of 93, 97 and 105 and it runs off a mark of 87. Not for the faint hearted and they have to transform recent form in to that early P2P promise, but this is just the type of collateral form that throws up the sort of 50/1 plus winners that we all love to see.

TIPS (1) Puddlesinthepark / (2) Farceur De Maulne (3) Justshortofabubbe - (4/5 if you wish)  - see notes!!!!
